One of the critical areas Kidada Hawkins focuses on in his work is patient experience and engagement. He has worked with various facilities, including for-profit and not-for-profit systems, in rural and urban areas. These differences have posed unique challenges, but Kidada has found success regardless. Healthcare systems are crucial for thriving communities, and by implementing accountability systems, mending relationships, and optimizing operations, he has ensured these critical facilities continue to be available for residents in need. He is acutely aware of healthcare administrators’ influence on the communities they serve, and he takes that responsibility seriously.
Over the years, Kidada Hawkins has earned several certifications, affiliations, and recognitions for his work in the healthcare systems in Alabama. Kidada Hawkins has worked hard in all of his positions to foster healthy financial stewardship. In multiple cases, he took a position in a facility that had seen annual losses in revenue. Under his leadership, each of these organizations was able to reverse that trend and begin seeing profits within a few years. Kidada Hawkins achieved this by adding new service lines, recruiting new talent, increasing patient volume, and reducing costs. Kidada Hawkins works in partnership with physicians to help find solutions that are beneficial to everyone involved, reducing the load on professionals while improving the quality of care patients receive.
Before launching his professional career, Kidada Hawkins earned his bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College and has completed two master’s degree programs at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His educational background prepared him well for his executive roles in these challenging healthcare facilities. As someone passionate about community, Kidada enjoys utilizing his experience and education to improve healthcare experiences for everyday consumers.
Another way Kidada Hawkins gives back to the community is by serving on nonprofit boards. He has worked with multiple nonprofit organizations over the years and enjoys sharing his expertise with community leaders who are making a difference for people in need.
